Camera Timer USB by W. Strickling offers seamless remote shooting capabilities, making it an essential tool for photographers looking to capture long exposure shots without the shake.

Release your digital camera (e.g., a DSLR) with your phone! Now with infrared blaster support. Release your camera with your phone using infrared! Required: Android 4.4 (KitKat) or higher, built-in IR-blaster. Tested with Canon, Nikon, Sony.

CameraTimer supports USB host mode of Android 3.X and higher. A special USB host adaptor cable is required. For earlier Android versions, this small app can use the phone's built-in flash LED to release external electronic devices. Option to take shots with the internal camera with CameraTimer, including automatic geotagging.

Releasing external cameras with optical cable requires phones that provide a torch mode for their camera flash and a camera connection cable with a phototransistor to release the external camera. Check the website for details.

New permission required: Internet, because of ad support.
